2. Valves & Walze
There is no really obvious translation for the German word Walze. Really we are talking of a 4 layer/story rotor made out of machined brass or bronze. One layer acts as a master valve, three layers change the lenght of the valve tubing.

3. Walze with slides
This system has been met with skepticism due to the high likelyhood of leaks along the Walze. However the main critic from horn players centers on the fact, that the lenght of the 2nd valve tubing can not be adjusted on neither the Bb nor the Fsides.
