Ave Maria by Jacob Arcadelt This 15-scores’ version in D major is not compatible with the older brass and recorder versions in F major. This version is scored very similarly to the hymns, only the top note in the soprano line is D, not C as in most of the hymn project. Low brass quartets and ensembles should play the version in F major, if they want a stand-alone performance among themselves.
